Change does not occur in the midst of comfort. We know it’s true, but unfortunately, most of us humans tend to really like comfort. Change can seem scary at times, because it’s new and we don’t always know what to expect. But if we do the same thing over and over, we will not grow, we will not change, we will simply become stuck in the same never ending routine. So what should we do about it? If we’re tired of the way things are and we want something to change… we must simply…listen to our intuition about what direction to go next and PUSH OURSELVES to try new things. Acknowledge the fear, the anxiety, the worry and step forward despite it, knowing that you can move through it and past it. Use those feelings as an energizing force instead of a block. Maybe even reinterpret them as excitement, wonder and curiosity.

If you are thinking about doing something that you think you might enjoy, but it makes you feel a little uncomfortable…do it anyway. If you’ve got a project you want to start, but are afraid of it not turning out the way you’d like it to…do it anyhow. If you’ve been invited out to spend time with people you enjoy, but you are tired and just don’t feel like going…go despite your fatigue. Why? You’ll grow if you do. Your brain will make new neural connections, you’ll learn new information, you’ll add to your world view, and who knows, you might just have a good time doing it!

And if at first you don’t succeed…well, you know that story…
